Brave Foundation

Today I would like to introduce a foundation that has impressed me: the Brave Foundation . It supports women who have to make a new start – and gives them not only support, but also dignity and hope.

The Brave Foundation Zurich was founded by Barbara Huli – a woman who survived a femicide attempt along with her child.

From this profound personal experience arose a vision: to create a safe space where women and children can find not only protection, but also healing, education and new life perspectives.

What was once a moment of survival became a movement of hope. Today, Barbara Huli – together with a dedicated network – stands for courage, justice, and the conviction that every woman has the right to a life free from violence and self-determination.

A key goal of the Brave Foundation is to encourage women to act independently, especially when dealing with government agencies and authorities. Barbara Huli personally supports and empowers those affected – with empathy, experience, and energy.

As a proven survivor, she brings over 13 years of her own experience in dealing with systems, authorities and support structures and uses this knowledge to help other women and actively contribute to the prevention of femicides.

The Brave Foundation Zurich supports victims on their journey from violence to a new beginning – with heart, expertise and the strength of a lived second chance.
